The ability to deliver services by fire and EMS agencies can be quite a challenge under normal conditions. To complicate things even further the lack of operational apparatus and equipment can really challenge an agency to meet basic response needs to their citizens and communities. The VFCA and VSFA had been talking for a bit and decided to establish a new program where departments could request assistance for apparatus and equipment. If your department has been impacted by a catastrophic event and have either no apparatus to provide service/or severe mechanical failure rendering the vehicle useless or a specific need for equipment please complete the attached form and we will share this need statewide and work to help meet this need. Requests must be specific to fire apparatus, ambulances, small utility and support vehicles and related equipment to deliver service.
Please go to the VFCA website at www.vfca.us and click on resources to complete the request form or click the link below. Please contact Chris Eudailey at ceudailey@vfca.us if you have any questions or if you need further information.
