Call for Presentations at 2016 Conference/Expo

This is the official “call for presenters” for the Virginia Firefighters Association (VSFA) 2016 Conference/Expo August 17-20, 2016 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

Presentation subject matter can include but is not limited to: strategy and tactics; EMS, ICS, leadership; management; safety and health; new initiatives/concepts/trends; case studies; etc.

Anyone interested in presenting at the Conference/Expo should submit the following information:

Length of Course/Presentation
- 1.5 to 3 hour (Thursday, Friday, Saturday August 18, 19 or 20)
- 4.0 hour program (Thursday and/or Friday, Saturday, Aug. 17, 18, 19, 20 and/or, AM and/or PM sessions)
- 8.0 hour program (Thursday or Friday, or Saturday)
- 16.0 hour program (Thursday and Friday, August 18, 19 or Friday and Saturday August 19-20)
Typically, the VSFA will cover lodging and travel if necessary; and provide a full conference registration to chosen presenters. Except for special circumstances, the VSFA will reimburse a maximum of one presenter for 1 to 1.5 hour sessions; and a maximum of two presenters for all other sessions.

Since the VSFA’s Conference/Expo is for the benefit of 1st responders any expenses related to your presentation that can be absorbed by you or your organization would be greatly appreciated.

As a member of the VSFA and Virginia’s Emergency Services, this is a great opportunity to pass along" your knowledge and expertise to the future leaders of the fire service.
