Call For Presentations at 2018 Conference/Expo

This is the official “call for presentations” for the Virginia State Firefighters Association (VSFA) 2018 Conference/Expo August 1-4, 2018 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

Presentation subject matter can include but is not limited to: strategy and tactics; EMS, ICS, leadership; management; safety and health; new initiatives/concepts/trends; case studies; etc.

Anyone interested in presenting at the Conference/Expo should submit the following information:

Deadline for submissions is November 15th.

Call for Presentations 2018

  • Presenter Information

  • No more than 1000 words including credentials to teach subject matter, and any prior instructional experience

  • Presentation Information

  • Typically, the VSFA will cover lodging and travel if necessary; and provide a full conference registration to chosen presenters. Except for special circumstances, the VSFA will reimburse a maximum of one presenter for 1 to 1.5 hour sessions; and a maximum of two presenters for all other sessions.

    Since the VSFA’s Conference/Expo is for the benefit of 1st responders any expenses related to your presentation that can be absorbed by you or your organization would be greatly appreciated.

    As a member of the VSFA and Virginia’s Emergency Services, this is a great opportunity to pass along" your knowledge and expertise to the future leaders of the fire service.
